Hi, I've bought a wireless IP indoor camera with SD card. Device Firmware Version: 0.2.0.121 Device Embeded Web UI Version: 0.0.0.82 Device ID: SIP-032714-ENPWV The camera has a lot of problem: -sometimes the streaming broke = I see red and fuxia square; the image cripple.is not possibile to change FTP upload dir (Only with a little hack is possible) -The alarma FTP Upload take the picture about 10-20 sec after the motion.sometimes it warm up and then reboot automatically every minute The device firmware and the embeded Web UI seems to be very young:0.x.x.x Is possible to change the firmware? The only thing that I need is a decent motion detection with ftp upload. I'm not interested in SD card recording. Thanks PS:where is the address asked me in the captcha question?!?
You've had a very similar experience to the one I had with the cheap chinese IP camera I bought off a seller here in South Africa. Unfortunately, I'm at the office and I can't tell you much about the model number, other than it was a Wanscam. Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU) is a vendor- and device-independent mechanism for upgrading the firmware of USB devices with improved versions provided by their manufacturers, offering (for example) a way to deploy firmware bug fixes. During the firmware upgrade operation, USB devices change their operating mode effectively becoming a PROM.
